Optimisation de la latence dans les réseaux SDN
Auteurs: Gilles Armel KEUPONDJO SATCHOU ,Nogbou Georges ANOH ,Tchimou N'Takpé ,Souleymane Oumtanaga
Date publication: 2018
Journal: Journal inconnu

Date publication: 2019
Journal: Journal inconnu
Discussion and exchange among peers have being hailed as an essential part of learning since at least, Vygot-sky's socio-constructivist theory. There, learning is presented as a subtle and dynamical collective process. Hence, despite numerous efforts to understand how learners engage and maintain inspiring discussions, researchers continue to question how to effectively reinforce the collective actions. In Learning Management Systems (LMSs) they propose Learning Dashboards (LDBs) to learners, tutors, and managers to help them monitor various learning indicators. But only recently have they emp...

Improvement of the quality of Internet service based on an Internet Exchange Point (IXP)
Auteurs: Souleymane Oumtanaga, and Falilu Abudul Kadiri
Date publication: 2008
Journal: Journal inconnu
Internet is without any doubt the fastest and effective mean of communication making it possible to reach a great number of people in the world. It draws its base from exchange points. Indeed exchange points are used to inter-connect various Internet suppliers and operators in order to allow them to exchange traffic and it is with these interconnections that Internet made its great strides. They thus make it possible to limit the traffic delivered via the operators of transits. This limitation allows a significant improvement of the quality of service, a reduction in the latency time j...

Minimization of Spectrum Fragmentation for Improvement of the Quality of Service in Multifiber Elastic Optical Networks
Auteurs: Boris Stephane ZOUNEME , Georges Nogbou ANOH , Souleymane OUMTANAGA
Date publication: 2020
Journal: Journal inconnu
Internet data traffic is still growing considerably in recent decades. In view of this exponential and dynamic growth, elastic optical networks are emerging as a promising solution for today's flexibly allocated bandwidth transmission technologies. The setup and release of dynamic connections with different spectrum bandwidths and data rates leads over time to spectrum fragmentation in the network. However, single-fiber eastic optical networks are faced with the problem of optical spectrum fragmentation. Spectrum fragmentation refers to small blocks, isolated, non-aligned spectrum seg...

Evolutionary Method of Population Classification According to Level of Social Resilience
Auteurs: Coulibaly Kpinna Tiekoura ,Brou Konan Marcellin ,Babri Michel ,Souleymane Oumtanaga
Date publication: 2017
Journal: Journal inconnu
Following the many natural disasters and global socio-economic upheavals of the 21st century, the concept of resilience is increasingly the subject of much research aimed at finding appropriate responses to these traumas. However, most existing work on resilience is limited to a broad cross-disciplinary panel of non-operational theoretical approaches. Thus, the study of the processes of social resilience is confronted with difficulties of modeling and a lack of appropriate analysis tools. However, the existing stratification methods are too general to take into account the specificiti...

A multi critria QoS Routing Protocol
Auteurs: Michel Babri, Oumtanaga Souleymane, Georges Anoh

The high mobility of the nodes , the reduced availability of the resources on the one hand and the rising needs of the real time applications made the provision of QoS compulsory in the ad hoc routing. Therefore the incorporating of QoS metrics in routing is very important in order to support any end-toend QoS level. In this paper, we propose a routing approach which takes into account both the state of the nodes and the state of the links in determining the best routes and which guarantees a certain level of quality of service requested by the application

Multicast transmissions allow an host (the source) to send only one flow bound for a group of hosts (the receivers). Any equipment eager to belong to the group may explicitly register itself to that group via its multicast router. This router will be given the responsibility to convey all information relating to the group to all registered hosts. However in an environment in which the final receiver or the source frequently moves, the multicast flows need particular treatment. This constitutes one of the multicast transmissions problems around which several proposals were made in the...

The cocoa sector, a major economic pillar in West Africa, is facing a concerning phytosanitary threat: Cocoa Swollen Shoot Virus (CSSV), mainly transmitted by mealybugs. This viral disease leads to a progressive decline of plantations, affecting yields and compromising the socio-economic resilience of producers. Faced with the limitations of traditional detection methods, which are often delayed, this study proposes an innovative AI-based approach for predicting CSSV infection stages. Using a multinomial logistic regression model, 250 cocoa plants were simulated with eight agro-environmental v...

In this article, we discuss a vehicle routing problem with time windows (VRPTW) for the transport of perishable products with consideration of road roughness constraints. The proposed model includes simultaneous pickup and delivery operations. Unlike almost all previous studies, which mainly consider travel distance and temperature as factors in product deterioration, we take into account the roughness condi-tions of the roads in order to preserve their quality during transport. The objective is therefore to satisfy a set of customers, while respecting the constraints related to multi-produ...

Contribution to the Defragmentation of the Frequency Spectrum of Elastic Optical Networks by Using Independent Sets in a Graph
Auteurs: KAMAGATE Beman Hamidja , BABRI Michel , OUMTANAGA Souleymane
Date publication: 2015

This paper is about spectrum defragmentation in elastic optical network. Our proposal consists in creating independents sets with current connections in the network, so that they can easily be rerouted or reallocated to another position of frequency slots in the optical spectrum. We choose to reroute as much as possible connections to lowest slots indices in order to free more contiguous and continuous slots in the highest areas indices for future connections. In addition, we define a parameter for judging the need for the defragmentation operation. The simulation performed with Matla...

The work on predicting learner performance allows researchers through machine learning methods to participate in the improvement of e-learning. This improvement allows, little by little, e-learning to be promoted and adopted by several educational structures around the world. Neural networks, widely used in various performance prediction works, have made several exploits. However, factors that are highly influential in the field of learning have not been explored in machine learning models. For this reason, our study attempts to show the importance of the forgetting factor in the lear...

In this paper, we describe a model of conceptual indexation adapted to the RDFS structured resources. The process of the structured IR (Information Research) in XML corpus, based on the balancing of a document terms improves the IR. However, silence in the resources return remains a concern. Operating a weak ontology described by RDFS can improve the percentage of relevant return of documents. The use of semantic relationship between pairs of synonymous modeled concept by graphs enables to take into account the meanings of the terms in a RDFS corpus. This model allows us to consider s...

Specifying a model of semantic web service composition
Auteurs: Souleymane OUMTANAGA, Issa TRAORE, Michel BABRI
Date publication: 2011
Journal: Journal inconnu
One of the major issues of semantic web is the discovery and identification of the best service that responds to a user request. In this article we specify a semantic web services composition model built through an ontology described in the logical description language ALN (Attributive Language with unqualified Number restrictions). We then show a method for automatic discovery of semantic web services based on graph theory. In order to make the composition model evolutive, we propose a solution for the insertion of new services, thus avoiding the rebuild of the minimum transversals tree.

A Workflow Scheduling Algorithm for Reducing Data Transfers in Cloud IaaS
Auteurs: Jean Edgard GNIMASSOUN ,Souleymane OUMTANAGA ,Tchimou N’TAKPE ,Gokou Hervé Fabrice DIEDIE
Date publication: 2020

The cloud IaaS easily offers to have homogeneous multi-core machines (whether they are "bare metal" machines or virtual machines). On each of these machines, there can be highperformance input-output SSD disks. That allows to distribute the files produced during the execution of the workflow to different machines in order to minimize the additional costs associated with transferring these files. In this paper, we propose a scheduling algorithm called WSRDT (Workflow Scheduling Reducing Data Transfers) whose purpose is to minimize the makespan (execution time) of data-intensive workflow...

Seamless multicast handover in an NC-HMIPv6 environment
Auteurs: LAMBERT KADJO TANON, SOULEYMANE OUMTANAGA, KONE TIEMOMAN
Date publication: 2008
Journal: Journal inconnu
The multicast facilitates group communications in IP networks and largely improves the usage efficiency of the bandwidth. However if this transmission technology has reached a sufficient maturity in fixed networks, it results in many problems in an IP environment where the receiver is mobile. The problem is partially attributable to the protocols managing the host mobility. Indeed, in the mobile Internet, the host mobility affects unicast addresses which are considered in the multicast routing protocols as stable. So the change of these unicast addresses lead to long handover latency and...

Reconfiguration of unicast or multicast connections in an optical network is a critical task. Indeed, if it is not carried out correctly, it can lead to optical flow (also called flow) interruptions that can cause damage to the network operator. It is therefore common to perform the reconfigu-ration in several steps. In this study, we focused on multicast connection reconfiguration because multicast connection become more attractive and efficient technique to transmit flow of multicast applications. A Multicast connection in an optical network can be represented by a point-to-multipoint all-op...

In this article, we focus on conflict management when learning traditional medicine. The traditional medicine is involved in almost all diseases that man can encounter using natural products from plant, mineral, animal. The aim is to lay a solid diagnosis in order to implement an effective treatment and minimize the risk of physical and social imbalance of patients. We particularly analyze the different techniques on the basis of visual semantic ontology in order to avoid similar indexing or conflict of a concept (dosages, therapeutic effects). We also analyze the influence of the con...
