Les investigations de terrain réalisées dans la forêt classée de Sanaimbo (Côte d’Ivoire) ont permis d’inventorier 670 espèces, qui se repartissent en 422 genres et 96 familles. Parmi ces espèces, 507 (72,5%) sontdes phanérophytes et 56 (8,4%) des hémicryptophytes. 170 espèces (25,4%) sont des lianes. La plupart des espèces possèdent de petites diaspores charnues dont la dissémination est assurée par les animaux, soit par endozoochorie (318 espèces = 47,5%), soit par ectozoochorie (93 espèces = 15%). A novel material open to warm air stays below ambient temperature under maximum solar intensities of mid-summer. It is found to be 11 °C cooler than a commercial white cool roof nearby. A combination of specially chosen polymers and a silver thin film yields values near 100% for both solar reflectance, and thermal emittance at infrared wavelengths from 7.9 to 13 μm. In this paper we study the stabilization of a non-uniform Timoshenko beam with indefinite damping terms under boundary control and prove how the damping terms can affect the decay rate asymptotically. Using the theory of perturbed problems, we obtain the stability and establish the spectrum determined growth condition for the problem. Moreover, when the two damping terms are indefinite, we provide a condition to obtain  the exponential stability.
