Information Pour Le Développement Durable De La Santé – Cas De L’usage Des Réseaux Sociaux Dans La Lutte Contre Le Cancer De La Prostate En Côte d’Ivoire
Auteurs: G Pascal
Date publication: 2018-01-31
Journal: European Scientific Institute, ESI
Prostate cancer is a pathology that causes casualties among the male population in Côte d'Ivoire. This pandemic kills silently but can be cured at the early stage of detection. All the actors in the fight against this pathology have mainly focused on the classical channels of communication and nonmedia. In the era of the information society, there is, however, a culture of digital technology in Côte d'Ivoire where the use of social networks is now part of the habits. While mass communication campaigns hinder efforts to raise awareness for early detection, more discreet and more customizable so...

Promouvoir l’agroforesterie ? Les leçons de la Côte d’Ivoire
Auteurs: Irié C. Zo‐Bi, Bruno Hérault
Date publication: 2023-09-04

Abstract In cloud computing service providers offer services to be used by customers. Given the increasing number of clients and also the variety of their needs, some users adjust services to their context. Also context may differ from those services. For this, we propose in this paper a set of tools (architecture and algorithm) for achieving this adaptation taking into account the specificities related to the context of the user. This set, knowing the services offered by suppliers, enables the user to make an adjustment using methods to construct the user context and the research service rela...

Journal: IEEE
Vehicular delay-tolerant networking (VDTN) is an extension of the delay-tolerant network (DTN) architecture concept to transit networks. VDTN architecture handles non-real time applications, exploiting vehicles to enable connectivity under unreliable scenarios with unstable links and where an end-to-end path may not exist. Intuitively, the use of stationary store-and-forward devices (relay nodes) located at crossroads where vehicles meet them and should improve the message delivery probability. Date publication: 2009-01-27
Journal: Springer Science and Business Media LLC
AbstractTo enhance the readability, improve the structure, and facilitate the sharing of digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) files, this research proposed one kind of XML-based DICOM data format. Because XML Schema offers great flexibility for expressing constraints on the content model of elements, we used it to describe the new format, thus making it consistent with the one originally defined by DICOM. Meanwhile, such schemas can be used in the creation and validation of the XML-encoded DICOM files, acting as a standard for data transmission and sharing on the Web. Upon de...

Date publication: 2016-07-19
Journal: IEEE
We consider an elastic all-optical network, where each node is multicast-capable and does not support spectrum conversion. In such a network, for a given set of static multicast demands, we consider distance-adaptive spectrum resource allocation, and aim to optimize multicast routing, modulation, and spectrum assignment with shared protection in a way that minimizes the required spectrum resources for accommodating all multicast sessions. In our design, we provision each multicast demand by a light-tree where spectrum resources are allocated in all links included in the tree. We protect each l...

Prévention du brunissement lors de l’extraction de jus de banane plantain et valorisation des résidus issus de cette extraction
Auteurs: Mohamed Anderson Yeo, Ernest Kouadio Koffi, Olivier Chatigre, Eric Elleingand
Date publication: 2015-12-10
Journal: African Journals Online (AJOL)

We conducted “Choukouya” consumers (n = 900) and vendors (n = 300) survey to characterize the actors behavior. 189 samples of “Choukouya” were collected and microbiologically analyzed according to French standard protocols NF V 08-061 and XPV 08-061. Date publication: 2023-07-14
Journal: Elsevier BV
Within the Mauritania–Senegal maritime zone, we have identified and mapped habitats of the white grouper (Epinephelus aeneus). To this end, data collected since the 1980s through scientific sampling surveys along the coastline and on the continental shelf in the study zone have been analysed. On the basis of data collected in shallow coastal and estuarine environments, it has been shown that only the juvenile fraction of the E. aeneus population lives in the diverse habitats (mangroves, sea grass beds, salt marshes, etc.) of both the Banc d'Arguin and the estuaries. On the continental slope, h...

Quantitative measurements of turbid liquids via structured laser illumination planar imaging where absorption spectrophotometry fails
Auteurs: Guy-Oscar Regnima, Thomas Koffi, Olivier K. Bagui, Abaka Kouacou, Elias Kristensson, Jérémie T. Zoueu, Edouard Berrocal
Date publication: 2017-04-28
Journal: Optica Publishing Group
A comparison between the commonly used absorption spectrophotometry and a more recent approach known as structured laser illumination planar imaging (SLIPI) is presented for the characterization of scattering and absorbing liquids. Water solutions of milk and coffee are, respectively, investigated for 10 different levels of turbidity. For the milk solutions, scattering is the dominant process, while the coffee solutions have a high level of absorption. Measurements of the extinction coefficient are performed at both λ=450 nm and λ=638 nm and the ratio of their values has been extracted. We sho...
